Lex de Jonge graduated as chemical engineer and worked in research, followed by management positions on environmental issues with industry and local authorities. In 1992 he became head of the Industry Division of the Dutch Ministry of Environment (VROM).
Since 2001 he is head of the CDM Division at this Ministry.
His main responsibilities are to implement CDM - organizing the purchase of CERs on behalf of the Dutch government - and to advice on international climate change policy.
Since 2006 he is a member of the CDM Executive Board, in 2008 also acting as vice-Chair and in February 2009 be was elected as Chair of the CDM Executive Board.

Mr. LU Xuedu, Deputy Head of Office of Global Environmental Affairs of the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), Alternate of CDM Executive Board to the Kyoto Protocol, has been engaged in project management, policy-making and international negotiation on climate change from 1991. From 1996, acting as one of the chief negotiators of Chinese delegation to the negotiations on UNFCCC and IPCC, he played a role in both domestic and international policy-making related to climate change. From 2001, he was elected for four times as member of CDM Executive Board, and was elected as Vice Chairman of the Board in 2005, and he has made great contributions to the CDM development in both China and world. In addition, he is the representative of China for the Carbon Sequestration Leadership Forum and Asia-Pacific Network for Global Change Research. From 2004 to 2006, he was elected as the Chairman of the Host Country Committee of Carbon Finance Business of World Bank. In recent years, he published several papers and books on climate change policies and CDM. He has a doctorate in Engineering by Tsinghua University.

Magnus Gislev has a degree in Chemistry and Business Administration from the University of Karlstad, Sweden. He started in the European Commission in 1995 and joined the Environment Directorate-General in 1999. He was in charge of overseeing the implementation of EU legislation on integrated pollution prevention and control and also took part in the development of the EU Emissions Trading Scheme and the EU Environmental Technologies Action Plan. Since 2005, he is the representative of the Environment Directorate-General at the European Commission in Beijing in charge of the EU-China Environment Policy Dialogue and the EU-China Climate Change Partnership

Patrick Birley was appointed Chief Executive of ECX in July 2007. Patrick has previously CEO of LCH.Clearnet Limited. Prior to this he held senior management positions at the London Metal Exchange (Director of Strategy) and FTSE Group (Director of Operations).
Patrick started his financial markets career as the second employee of the fledgeling South African Futures Exchange (SAFEX) in 1989 and was a key driver of it’s development into one of the most active derivatives exchanges in the world. Patrick was appointed as CEO of SAFEX in 1999 and subsequently led the sale of the business to the Johannesburg Stock Exchange.

Jeff Huang has over 17 years of experience in cross-border mergers and acquisitions and derivatives business. He is directly involved in creating the first Sino-foreign joint venture financial exchange in China – Tianjin Climate Exchange. Jeff also advised on the joint venture negotiation between Calyon Financial Ltd. and Citic Futures Ltd., as well as on the acquisition deal between SunGard Data Systems and Shanghai Fudan Kingstar. Jeff co-authored Technical Reports for China Securities Regulatory Commission on futures markets development. Jeff is also a Visiting Professor of Beijing Normal University.

Mr. YANG Hongwei, Director of the CDM Project Management Center (a newly established unit to support the Chinese DNA for the overall management of CDM project activities in China), is a professor of energy economics with the Energy Research Institute of National Development and Reform Commission. Mr. Yang received a Ph.D. degree from Tsinghua University in 1995.
Mr. Yang has played a key role in supporting the Government of China on compliance activities under the UNFCCC and the Kyoto Protocol, including the preparation of China’s National Climate Change Programme, China’s Initial National Communication of Climate Change, and the overall management of CDM project activities. He was project lead for “China’s National GHG Inventories for Industrial Processes” (adopted by the Initial National Communication) and the “Future International Climate Change Regime and Its Impacts on China’s National Energy Development” (adopted by China’s National Energy Strategy).
Mr. Yang is a lead author for the IPCC 2006 Guidelines on National Greenhouse Gas Inventories and a contribution author for the IPCC 4th Assessment Report on Climate Change. Since 2002, he is a member of the Chinese Delegation to the UNFCCC/Kyoto Protocol negotiations; since 2003 he is a lead reviewer for the technical review of national greenhouse gas inventories from Annex I Parties to the UNFCCC.

Yang zhi, Economics professor from School of Economics, Renmin University of China (RUC), is a specialty in the area of energy economics, recycled economy and carbon market. As the director of RUC Venture Capital & Network Economy Research Center, she foresees the importance of capital in achieving carbon reduction, for which she was invited to Summer Davos Forum in Sep.2007, the international forum of Climate Change and Science & Technology Innovation in Apr.2008, World Women Economic and Social Forum in May 2008 and the opening ceremony of TCX (Tianjing Climate Exchange) in Sep.2008. During the last two years, she published a series of papers with regard to China petroleum strategy, recycled economy and carbon market, establishing the theoretical foundation for economics research in those fields. “Toward the right understanding of energy and environment issue” published on Guangming Daily (one of the most influential newspaper in China) Apr.1st, is one of the papers mentioned above. Because of her outstanding contribution to recycled economy, she was rewarded the“2007 China ten annual economic female figures” in Feb.2008. On the World Women Forum, she proposed the concept of “virtual water exchange” which attached attention from all of the participants at the event.

Ms. Zhang Xiaodan graduated with a degree in Engineering in 1982. After graduation, Ms. Zhang has worked in product development and design, investment management, scientific management and environmental management in both private and public institutions. From 1997 to 2002, Ms. Zhang has worked as deputy secretary general in China Registration Committee of Environmental Auditors (CRCEA). During that time, she established the national accreditation mechanism for environmental management system and was responsible for ISO14001 certification technology research and auditors registration management .In 2003, as one of CEC cofounders, Ms Zhang was in charge of certification program development and the research, development and management of certification technology as well as the establishment of certification standard. Ms Zhang was also responsible for policy research on governmental green purchasing and promoting international mutual-recognition and cooperation on environmental labeling products. Furthermore, Mrs. Zhang acted as deputy secretary-general of China Green Purchasing Network (CGPN) and served as an expert in Marrakech sustainable purchasing for the United Nations. Since 2005, Ms Zhang began to lead CEC in pursuing for accreditation as Designated Operational Entity (DOE) of UNFCCC. The accreditation was formally approved on March, 2009. Ms. Zhang is responsible for the strategic development, technical management and operation management of CEC’s CDM department.

Karen Hvid Ipsen, Senior Advisor and Energy Systems Analyst for European energy company Vattenfall - is currently working out of Denmark, but assignments are Vattenfall groupwide. CO2 and climate has, one way or another, been a focal area for me for the last 20 years. Responsibilities have varied from CO2-emissions monitoring/reporting and compliance within the EU-ETS scheme, but also activities such as climate R&D, fuel switching, CCS and JI/CDM fill my daily working day. With respect to CDM, I’m currently operating as Sourcing Agent in China for the Vattenfall Carbon Fund based in Berlin. In the energy business, the environmental/climate field is of paramount importance for the ”license to operate” of the company. Carbon mamagement aside, this keeps me active in a wide range of topics such as traditional environmental permit compliance/acquirement activities and EIA – but also analytical efforts directed more towards assessing business development potential (environmental and energy law, subsidies, taxation and other business intelligence). Former positions include that of R&D-coordinator for Danish utility Elsam, Environmental and R&D-coordinator for Danish TSO Energinet.dk and for many years a consultant for RAMBOLL, Tech-Wise and Elsamproject, all of which are consulting engineering companies active in the energy field. Holds a B. Sc., Chem. Eng., from the Danish Engineering Academy in Copenhagen, a M. Sc. Chem. Eng. from the Danish Technical University, also in Copenhagen and finally a Master in Environmental and Energy Law from Aarhus University.

Ming Yue, Technical Director: She is in charge of the technical CDM department within the Chinese market. Ming Yue graduated from Tsinghua University with a master’s degree in Science and Engineering. Before joining GSEMEAA, Ming worked as Technical Manager for Tricorona, being responsible for the smooth and speedy CDM projects development and securing the CERs delivery. During the period she worked there, 31 projects are registered and 28 projects have been submitted for requesting for registration. More than 60 projects are under validation. And before that she worked as a validator and Verifier for Det Norske Veritas (DNV), being responsible for validation and verification for more than 70 projects, including project across all technologies: wind power, hydro power, waste heat recovery, biomass, coal mine methane, natural gas for power generation, landfill gas, HFC destruction, N2O abatement, etc. She as the team leader in the validation, 31 projects have been registered; she as a team member in the validation, 13 projects have been registered; she as a trainee validator, 4 projects are registered. As a verifier, she conducted the initial verification and periodical verification for the renewable energy, waste heat recovery projects, etc. She also worked on VER projects verification and certification.

Responsible for ensuring LRQA offers a truly global and comprehensive service to meet the present and emerging needs of clients wherever they operate in the world, whilst also ensuring the technical integrity of those services, including the service design, delivery and maintenance of accreditations for all GHG validation and verification schemes worldwide. These include Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), Joint Implementation (JI), EU Emissions Trading Scheme (EUETS), ISO 14064 and the Voluntary carbon Standard (VCS).
CAREER SUMMARY
I commenced my career with the Groundwork Trust in Manchester as a Project Officer responsible for the delivery of a project to deliver EMS implementation, waste minimisation projects, and design of compliance systems for the Producer Responsibility Obligations (Packaging Waste) Regulations 1997 within four organisations through a year long placement of one day per week within each. Prior to joining LRQA I then worked with BTTG and Atkins as an Environmental Management Consultant, responsible for a small team, delivering EMS implementation services, due diligence auditing and IEMA registered EMS and auditing training courses. Since joining LRQA I have provided EMS Assessments and GHG verifications and held responsibility for the latter within the UK, across EMEA and globally.

Mr Xing Li joined Global Market of Deutsche Bank early 2008 and mainly involved in the carbon business development in China market. Prior to that Mr. Li was Chief Representative China of ICECAP Ltd from UK and was mainly responsible for ICECAP’s carbon business development in China during which he completed several dozen ERPA involving over 30m tones CO2e. Prior to ICECAP, Mr. Li worked for various departments for a municipal government, mainly involving in foreign direct investment.
Mr. Xing Li graduated from Shanghai Customs College and holds a MBA from Durham Business School in UK.

Andrew Aldridge is a Vice President in the Carbon Markets team, where he is responsible for investments in renewable energy and energy efficiency businesses. Andrew brings wide ranging experience of investing in energy companies in emerging markets, as a private equity investor, project/corporate financier and project developer. Before joining CCC, he founded EM Energy Solutions, a boutique consultancy providing project development and investment management advice to private equity funds operating in Europe, Middle East and China. Prior to this, Andrew was a director at Actis/CDC Group, a private equity business focused on Emerging Markets, where he built a US$350m portfolio of investments in energy and utility companies. Andrew is a chartered accountant and graduated with a BSc(Hons) in Physics from Imperial College, London.

Leon Wang Liangliang joined the Gold Standard Foundation since March of 2009 as the Local Expert based in China. He has been engaged in projects review, capacity building and marketing activities of Gold Standard in China. Prior to this he worked at South Pole Carbon Asset Management Ltd. as a project implementation manager. He was involved in validation and verification of various types of projects, both CER and VER. Before that, Leon worked at SGS Beijing office as a GHG Auditor. Leon started his environmental career as an engineer of continuous emissions monitoring system in 2005. He received his Master degree of science and engineering in Tsinghua University in 2005. His Bachelor degree was received in 2002.

Head of CDM Origination: graduated in International Management at the Universtiy of Boston, Antoine van Innis is in charge of coordinating the CDM origination activity in Asia Pacific. Antoine has been active in energy markets for about 5 years and has built an extensive experience within the CDM area.

Eliano Russo joined E.ON Climate & Renewables as Head of Carbon Sourcing on the 1st of February 2009. Previously he worked for Enel where he was Head of Carbon Strategy. Eliano is experienced in working in China where he supported both Enel and the Italian Ministry for Environment and Territory to identify, promote and develop CDM projects. He was also a member of the Italian delegation that negotiated the Kyoto Protocol, where he mainly focused on the flexible mechanism as emission trading, JI/CDM.

I joined Longyuan Group since I graduated from Chinese Academy of Science in 2006. Since then I have been engaged in designing the feasibility study report of wind power projects and developing CDM projects. I have rich technical knowledge about wind power project, such as construction and operation, which help me develop CDM projects. Up to now, I have developed more than 20 renewable energy CDM projects, mainly wind power and also including hydro power and biomass power. Therefore, I am very experienced with wind power projects and the Methodology ACM0002.

Qian Yiwen is the Chief Representative of Carbon Resource Management (CRM) in China. Having spent 9 years in the Provincial Development and Planning Commission and one year working in the Chinese National Development and Reform Commission, she has built CRM’s China team into one of the most respected and successful CDM companies in the country.

张玉坤，宁夏CDM环保服务中心驻北京办事处能效组技术主管。 2005年取得环境科学硕士学位，专业方向是环境政策。2007进入CDM开发领域，任职于我国最早专业开发CDM省级机构之一的宁夏CDM环保服务中心。通过近两年实际项目的开发，积累了一定的开发经验，成为宁夏CDM环保服务中心技术团队的核心成员。
