arbon Trade China 2008 is the first largest
carbon market conference focusing on China and
covering all the related industries. The magic event
was organized by the world's leading information
provider JF Pearson and co-organized by Carbon
Markets Association, International Energy Conservation
Environmental Protection Association, Union of the
Electricity Industry - EURELECTRIC, World Alliance
for Decentralized Energy, European Biomass Industry
Association, Overseas Environmental Cooperation
Center-Japan, etc. The marketing campaign got
extensive and deep coverage with the help of tens of
domestic and foreign media partners: PointCarbon,
Argus, Carbon Finance Information Service,
Environmental Experts and the Wall Street Journal,
etc. Nearly 500 people attended the event. The
seats were sold out 7 days before the event.
The conference was strongly supported by
governmental officials and senior executives from
UNFCCC, UNEP Risoe Center, UNDP, European
Commission, Japan and China delivered their
splendid speech. 15 provincial CDM Service Centers
participated with potential CDM projects from their
zones. China industry associations showed their
great support in various ways: noticing their
members or sharing the CDM potentials in their
industries with us.
Nearly 250 international buyers & service providers
from over 20 countries and 150 China's powerful
local sellers met in the conference. They talked
actively and sought their future cooperation
opportunities. The pre-arranged "One-to-One"
meeting area never had empty seats in 2 days' conference. 6 well-chosen CDM project introduction sessions were praised highly by international
buyers. On Day 3, a site visit to the CDM Wind
Power Farm project near Shanghai was arranged.
Based on the great success and accumulated
experience from Carbon Trade China 2008,
Carbon Trade China 2009 will be held on April
21st-23rd, 2009. Our marketing campaign will be
enhanced largely to achieve more extensive and
deeper coverage. Over 15,000 industry players
will be invited and 800 attendees will be expected.
